I started this work believing birth could be different. (and it can) But then I witnessed what the medical industrial complex actually does to women.
I became a birth doula in 2022 and quickly found myself supporting women through hospital births that left them more disconnected from their bodies than when they arrived. Augmentations. Interventions. Management of a physiological process that needed none of it.
That disconnection is not an accident. It is what the system produces so that you remain dependent on them!
Since then I have supported women in freebirths and sovereign homebirths. Every single one arrived at that birth in full authorship. Not one needed saving.
